A dream come true on the Costa Brava
We are delighted to share one of our most special weddings of this season with you. This was a Mexican-Catalan wedding with international guests, many of them from Mexico.
Transforming this beautiful family estate in Cala Estreta on the Costa Brava, where the terrain was very uneven, posed a particular challenge as the set-up was quite difficult.
It was a complex architectural construction that took two weeks to set up, with a 500 m2 marquee and a platform on various levels, all of which was integrated with the existing vegetation and combined with exquisite decoration, lighting, sound and projection. The result was a spectacular setting involving more than 80 people, 250 potted flowers and plants and a 1,200 m2 stage.
An extensive development of floral art was required, with different table centres, as well as tall and long low arrangements, providing a lot of movement to the dining area. The overall idea was to blend in with the surrounding natural environment, making it necessary to combine fine materials with plenty of greenery.
To give the marquee a certain depth, we recreated a photograph with natural vegetation. On the dance floor, we focused on the lighting design and projection mapping for the first dance, which was a particular highlight. Another high point was the virtual projection of fireworks on the surrounding trees, as it was impossible to set off real fireworks due to the risk of fire. The result was astonishing.
The drinks reception was held in a privileged viewpoint of Cala Estreta, for which we recreated a minimalist ambience in keeping with the location, with natural fibre carpets and multiple planters with white flowers.
