A wedding in an abbey
A solemn atmosphere for a wedding held at the monumental Abadía Retuerta in Valladolid, located at Hotel Le Domine, an excellent establishment considered one of the best hotels in Spain.
The bride and groom, both European, wanted a neutral venue for their wedding where they could host more than 200 international guests from different countries in Europe and the United States. Abadía Retuerta was the perfect match for their dreams. The rest was just a question of letting yourself be carried away by the sheer beauty of this 12th-century architectural jewel on the banks of the Duero River.
It was a very special, unique and original wedding. We recreated a magical and romantic space with little touches in keeping with the preferences and personality of the bride and groom, an exquisite, cheerful and endearing couple.
The sobriety of the space was softened with modern elements and details, playing with transparent materials throughout. Chairs by Philippe Starck were the perfect complement to this atmosphere. Not forgetting one of the main features: the candles. For these, we decided to use methacrylate stands designed by Toni Seguí Barcelona, created using long, thin tubes of methacrylate at different heights. They allowed us to add depth and a touch of seduction to the ambience.
For the layout and shape of the tables, we were inspired by the long tables used for monastic dinners at convents. The result was impressive; we are very happy.
Another great international success for Toni Seguí Barcelona.
